Labor Relations

As part of the Department of Personnel Services, the Office of Labor Relations is responsible for fostering harmonious and cooperative labor-management relations with the employee organizations that represent the County’s workforce. In this effort, this Office is charged with:

• Negotiating labor agreements with recognized employee organizations;
  
• Administering 26 labor agreements for 30 bargaining units;
• Resolving contract disputes through mediation, arbitration and administrative hearings;
• Administering employee relations codes, ordinances,  statutes, and policies;
• Providing advice and counsel to County management regarding labor relations issues.​​​​​

Labor Relations provides assistance and direction to County supervisors and managers regarding employer-employee relations. You can find links and resources related to those departments on this website.​
